Early this year a mostly bilingual book was completed with the title “Durben - Family Tree and History of our Family - Stammbaum und Geschichte unserer Familie”. It comprises of 300 pages with 136 pictures and portrays the result of decade ongoing researches.
The book goes back in time to a family Durben in the 17th century that then lived in the village of Wüstleimbach, nowadays known as Hohenleimbach. The village belongs to the parish of Kempenich to the north west of the Laacher Lake. The first official documents go back until 1685. Here the brothers Arendt (=Arnold) and Andris (=Andreas) are noted as the purchasers in a deed which was found by chance.

If known, particulars about occupation circumstance and of late also about interests were recorded. Graphical summaries were created for the first 7 generations that are completed with more than 100 photos.
